Position Summary:
As the Communication (Sr.) Manager for Prada brand, you will lead the brand’s public relations strategy and execution across earned media channels. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key media, KOLs, stylists, celebrities, and cultural stakeholders to enhance brand image and visibility. A key part of the role is to identify and cultivate a strategic roster of opinion leaders and talents who resonate with Prada’s values and aesthetics. Collaborating closely with global PR teams and local cross-functional departments, you will ensure consistent and impactful storytelling aligned with brand values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated PR strategies to support brand positioning and business objectives
- Lead press communication plans, ensuring timely and relevant messaging for seasonal collections, product launches, and key campaigns
- Build and nurture relationships with fashion editors, journalists, influencers, celebrities, and cultural institutions
- Identify, cultivate, and manage a strategic roster of KOLs and celebrities for ongoing and future brand activations
- Lead the communication of Prada Group’s CSR and sustainability initiatives in alignment with global guidelines
- Manage and oversee media events, press days, interviews, showroom appointments, and fashion show support
- Supervise all local press coverage, media monitoring, and reporting to HQ
- Collaborate with regional and global PR counterparts to align messaging, coordinate press materials, and manage image requests
- Partner with the media, social media, event, retail and merchandising to drive 360° communication campaigns
- Manage local PR agencies and external partners to ensure high-quality execution and reporting
- Support crisis communication in coordination with global and regional teams
- Monitor competitor activities and provide strategic insights to senior leadership
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in PR or communications, preferably in luxury fashion
- Strong media network in Japan across fashion, lifestyle, business, and cultural platforms
- Proven experience in KOL and celebrity management, including activation and relationship building
- Business level of Japanese and English (spoken and written)
- Deep understanding of Japanese media landscape and evolving influencer ecosystem
- Innovative thinker with the ability to develop creative, forward-thinking communication strategies
- Digitally savvy with strong understanding of social media platforms, emerging technologies, and content trends
- Proven experience in managing teams, agencies, and high-profile projects or events
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and collaborative environment
