About the Role:
As an Enterprise Sales Specialist, you will drive the growth of Dow Jones' AI-powered and data-driven enterprise solutions across the APAC region. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while supporting the retention of existing clients. You'll work in close collaboration with Sales Generalists, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to position solutions such as News Analytics, Factiva, and GenAI APIs with senior business and technical stakeholders. A consultative sales approach, strong understanding of the competitive landscape, and the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into real business outcomes are essential to success in this role.
You Will:
Identify, qualify, develop and close new business for AI-powered and data-driven enterprise solutions (e.g., News Analytics, Factiva content sets, real-time event data, LLM/Gen-AI APIs) across the APAC region (Japan, China, N.E. Asia, S.E. Asia, India, ANZ) to achieve individual and overall Specialist revenue goals.
Assist in maintaining existing revenue with Sales Generalists on assigned territories.
Work as a valued team member with Sales Generalists and accelerate sales opportunities through the Dow Jones sales process.
Evangelize our AI roadmap—clearly articulate the business impact of machine-learning models, generative AI capabilities, and advanced analytics to C-suite and technical stakeholders.
Evaluate potential market opportunities and competitors to ensure we maximize revenue and sell against competitors.
Work closely with marketing to support sales objectives and execution plans.
Identify and analyze underlying customer business and sales issues to match the right solution/technology to customer requirements; a solution-sales / consultative approach is essential.
Maintain meticulous records of sales visits, appointments, contacts and sales campaigns in the global CRM to provide timely management information.
Contribute thought-leadership on topics such as brand, positioning, value proposition, sales approach, AI ethics, and product roadmap.
Work with product & engineering groups to drive customer-informed AI feature development and ensure solutions reflect market needs.
You Have:
High level of initiative and self-motivation; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7+ years’ success selling complex enterprise software / data-as-a-service / API-based solutions to senior decision makers (CIO, CDO, CTO, Heads of Analytics).
Proven track record selling news information, data, and technology tools that power critical business decisions.
Solid understanding of internet and intranet applications, emerging web technologies, AI/ML fundamentals (e.g., model lifecycle, prompt engineering, responsible AI), and industry trends. Knowledge of data feeds and APIs is a must.
Experience of selling into Large Financial Institutions is preferred.
Ability to lead inspirational presentations and technical product demonstrations in a customer-facing environment with an adaptive style.
Ability to utilize effective influencing strategies to gain agreement or commitment to proposed solutions.
Ability to identify and architect multi-faceted solutions that meet complex customer needs—spanning data ingestion, AI workflows, and enterprise integrations (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS).
Familiarity with consultative selling methodologies (MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPIN, or similar) and value-based ROI modeling.
Bilingual (business-level proficiency in at least one of Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin Chinese) is an advantage. English fluency required.
Willingness to travel throughout the region (~30 %).
