As an Associate Counsel, you will have a wide range of responsibility including drafting and reviewing various legal documents, providing day to day legal advice updating templates, policies and processes and advising on business transactions to support the Company’s business and objectives in the Asia Pacific regions.
A successful candidate must have sound business judgment and the ability to translate legal concepts to clear understandable advice for use by business partners. This role is ideally suited for an individual who is eager to learn, is well organized, has an ownership mentality, is self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

業務内容
- Provide day to day legal advice and counsel for all business matters focusing on sales, marketing and consumer financing for the vacation ownership industry
- Assist structuring Japan timeshare products and related purchase documents and disclosures
- Draft and negotiate marketing and sales arrangements with third parties and provide on-going guidance regarding the same.
- Draft and negotiate purchase, services, confidentiality, consulting, technology and promotional agreements, leases and licenses for all business departments as needed
- Track and monitor legislation applicable to industry, advise business partners on related relevant items and implement process changes to comply with changing law
- Review and advise on matters related to resort governing documents, including declarations, articles, by-laws, management agreements, facility license and sharing arrangements.
- Assist with consumer finance matters including foreclosure and related communications
- Manage consumer litigation and pre-litigation
- Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
- Provide training to business partners on legal topics from time to time.
- Perform other related duties in support of HGV Legal and the company’s goals.

- Juris Doctor degree
- 2-3 years of related expreience
- Able to work from the Japan office
- Excellent writte and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English
