Role Summary: We are looking for a real estate professional based in Tokyo with local knowledge and experience. The candidate will be responsible to assist in sourcing new real estate deals in Japan including but not limited to residential, office, logistics, data center/life science/healthcare/self-storage and providing market research and insights that drive investment strategies. The candidate will also assist in managing both existing assets in our portfolio (office and residential assets) and new acquisitions.
Job Description:
The candidate will be primarily responsible to support MIM HK real estate team on the followings:
- Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities and assess market conditions
- Prepare detailed financial models and investment analyses to evaluate the feasibility of real estate projects
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation
- Monitor and analyze existing investments, providing regular performance reports
- Support due diligence processes for new acquisitions, including financial, legal, and operational assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights
Skills & Experience (Must Have):
- 5+ years of experience in private equity, real estate finance, investment analysis, or related fields
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly both in Japanese and English
Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):
- Master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Experience with real estate investment trusts (REITs), private equity real estate, or institutional investment analysis
Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:
Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.
Over time:
0-40 hours/month.
Salary:
Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.
Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.
Working Hours:
Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
