Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Lead to join our New Business Team. This team is focused on driving new business, building a robust revenue pipeline with high-value advertisers, and accelerating revenue growth for Yahoo Japan and LINE’s global clients.
This Business Development Lead will spearhead global advertising growth for Yahoo Japan and LINE by cultivating key relationships with media agencies and brands across APAC and EMEA. This individual contributor role serves as a vital link between global clients and the Japanese market, driving revenue through strong partnerships and proactive business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships with key media agencies and brands, nurturing partnerships to drive advertising revenue growth from Yahoo Japan and LINE’s global clients.
Employ diverse strategies to identify and engage potential clients, maintaining a robust pipeline of leads.
Lead new business initiatives from start to finish, actively involving prospects throughout the pitching process with timely communication and follow-up.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with agency partners and brands by understanding their goals and challenges, maintaining regular engagement, and coordinating with internal teams for effective follow-up.
Collaborate closely with the global client solutions team to ensure smooth onboarding process and campaign execution.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in building business for top-tier media agencies or creative agencies.
12+ years of experience in digital advertising with inbound sales focus.
Proven track record of acquiring net new accounts and surpassing revenue expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic environmen
Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to drive business growth and close deals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with agency partners, clients, and internal teams.
Experience with multinational and global brands, understanding complex marketing needs requiring global/local alignment and collaboration.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving business growth.
Proficiency in both Japanese and English is required. Fluency in Korean is a plus.
