Objective
To assist in the structuring and execution of M&A advisory and the preparation of client marketing materials;
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Support the business head with the marketing planning process for each transaction/pitch;
Produce financial/statistical analysis in accordance with Rothschild standard models;
Undertake thorough research of relevant company information (eg size, strategy, products) and financial information (eg accounts, share price graphs, deals etc) in support of Investment Banking marketing efforts;
Produce pitch-books and other presentation materials;
Assist in the due diligence process;
Assist in the structure and execution of M&A advisory transactions;
Maintain frequent dialogue with M&A clients at appropriate level and attend meetings as required;
Provide support to other GA teams across the region as required;
Provide document translation (English/Japanese) support to the team;
Plays own part in ensuring CWIP is complete, accurate and up to date.
Experience and Skills required
1-3 years relevant experience within an investment bank or consultancy firm;
Demonstrable financial modelling/accounting skills;
Pro-active and flexible attitude, with the ability to demonstrate initiative and reliability;
Prioritises work effectively;
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
First class organisation skills, excellent attention to detail and accuracy are essential;
Builds and maintains relationships with in the team and with clients;
Native level Japanese / Business lever English
