TITLE Head of Creative Asia
REPORTS TO Creative Director
Position
This role manages the workflow of Art Directors, Copy Writer and Assistant Studio Manager to drive unparalleled symbiosis between the disciplines and deliver the most impactful, innovative creative at each customer touchpoint, ensuring Drive timelines, budgets in partnership with our marketing colleagues and ensure the successful delivery of the 360 campaigns at hand.
They will recruit, mentor, coach and lead a diverse team both internal and external, and will work closely with the Creative Director, as well as Head of Art Direction, Head of Copy, Head of Visual Merchandising and Brand Environment, Marketing and Product and Packaging teams of the DMI.
Together with the Creative Director they will build an environment that fosters creativity, innovation and excellence with a strongly engaged team, whilst driving effectiveness and efficiency.
Key reponsibilities of the role included but are not limited to –

Key reponsibilities of the role included but are not limited to –
- Manage the workflow of Creative Studio Asia.
- Work closely with Creative Director and Heads of creative categories to keep the team updated as a part of the Creative team and DMI.
- Work closely with Creative Director and creative Heads in the UK to ensure our global creative works are in harmony and find opportunities to collaborate for the efficiency of our team resource and capacity.
- Creative guide for packaging team in collaboration with Creative Director and DMI leadership.
- Build strong relationships with Marketing, Product and Packaging, Communications and Omni-channel stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to support and influence outcomes relating to budgets, deadlines and decision making in the name of Creative.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team that will drive excellence and creativity across Aesop communications.
- Ensure that we attract and retain the highest calibre talent within the creative team.

Act as a custodian and champion of the Aesop brand, ensuring brand guidelines are observed across all projects.
- Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgment and act on diverse perspectives.
- Considerable experience at leadership level of a creative team within a regional and global retail business.
- A passion for analytics and insights, to inspire and drive the most effective creative products, services and solutions at all touchpoints of the retail ecosystem.
- Design and art direction skills of the highest order, with an understanding of the needs of all channels from retail to digital.
- Writing and editing skills of the highest order, with an understanding of the needs of all channels from retail to digital.
- A great communicator and collaborator, able to work with multiple partners to achieve our common business objectives set out by the DMI.
- A demonstrated understanding of the brand and of Aesop’s tone, lexicon and style.
- Actively keep up with technology especially within sustainability solutions in packaging innovation.

A deep knowledge of and a passion for literature, the visual and performing arts, architecture and design.
