Job Title: Indirect Taxation Staff
Department: Finance/Taxation
Job Summary: As an Indirect Taxation Staff, you will manage various aspects of indirect tax compliance and advisory, including Value Added Tax, Goods and Services Tax, Sales and Use Tax, and other transaction taxes. You will work closely with the Indirect Tax Senior to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and support indirect tax planning and audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare indirect tax returns, including VAT/GST, Sales and Use Tax, and other transaction taxes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with indirect tax audits.
- Support the Indirect Tax Senior/Manager in identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, legal, and operations, to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into business processes.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and analyze the impact on the Company.
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in indirect taxation within a public accounting firm or a multinational corporation.
- Strong knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax compliance and reporting software.
Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and tax technology solutions.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
