About the job

Industry Relations is a team dedicated to shaping the advertising industry, with a focus on driving awareness, accelerating business priorities, and cementing Google's leadership in the industry.

In this role, you will be building and managing external relationships with trade bodies, industry associations and self-regulatory organizations in the market, representing the company's perspective, promoting trust, and navigating environments. You will provide Global Business Organization (GBO) leaders with crucial industry insights and intelligence. You will play a role at the intersection of technology, public policy, and advertising ecosystem, leveraging this opportunity to forge partnerships, shape industry standards and frameworks, and ensure Google remains a trusted, central player. You will be promoting trust and consensus within the industry, addressing issues such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), privacy, measurement, responsible media, sustainability, etc. You will build and maintain an understanding of local and regional advertising dynamics, including industry politics, tests, and regulatory priorities.
This is a partner-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese with local stakeholders.
