As the Team Lead in our Intermediary Operations team, you will be responsible for building J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions Japan's intermediary model in collaboration with global teams and senior members in Japan. You will manage the Intermediary Operations, overseeing all intermediary operations facing individual participants of equity compensation plan run by Japanese companies, including individual securities account opening and order execution with host brokers on major Japanese stock exchanges. Your role will involve communication with host brokers, individual participants, and other relevant external parties, maintaining compliance with laws and internal policies, and acting as a governance and control point. Additionally, you will collaborate with relevant teams within J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions.
Job responsibilities
- Build J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions Japan’s intermediary model together with J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions teams globally in addition to senior members in Japan.
- Manage and run Intermediary Operations Team of Workplace Solutions Japan
- Be responsible for all the intermediary operations related work including intermediary of host broker’s individual securities account opening, intermediary of orders to host brokers, confirm execution of orders in one of the major stock exchanges in Japan
- Responsible for all the communication in relation to dealing with host brokers, individual participants, and other relevant external parties & professionals on a business-as-usual basis.
- Be responsible for keeping books and records as the Lead of Intermediary Operations so that Intermediary Operations Team is in compliant with relevant laws, regulations, guideline etc. as well as internal policies and procedures applicable to J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions Japan.
- Act as a first line of defense from J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions Japan’s governance and control point of view.
- Liaise, cooperate, collaborate with relevant team in Workplace Solutions Japan and J.P. Morgan.
- Gather and analyze securities trading business information and proposing strategic approach for J.P. Morgan Workplace Solutions Japan.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Must have JSDA Sales Representative Qualification(証券外務員資格)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing and hands on running of execution trading or trading operations in a securities firm, preferably with retail clients in Japan
- Excellent knowledge of Japanese shares market and players in the market
- Business communication in English
- Extremely numerate individual with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good literacy in technology related matter. For day-to-day work, familiarity with Microsoft applications is essential
- Demonstrate commercial acumen with an ability to be innovative & pro-active
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to tight deadlines
- Highly motivated and organized with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
