We are currently seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to work in a collaborative and innovative environment supporting Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). This is an amazing opportunity to directly support the global Command and Control Mission Systems (C2MS) program. You will be a critical part of the Systems/Network Administration team, maintaining the C2MS networks in our OCONUS locations.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Well versed in and apply industry standard systems administration and client administration.
- Troubleshooting of associated hardware/software to include Dell, HP, Pivot3, VMWare, Citrix.
- Create, track and resolve escalated service desk action items.
- Maintain the security and stability of cross domain enterprise level solutions.
- Provide detailed technical solutions.
- Build, install, move and or break-down systems on-site or remotely.
- Create detailed technical reports and metrics.
- Interact with customers and support personnel at on/off-site data centers.
- Be familiar with Linux audit and reporting tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience with UNIX/LINUX in an Enterprise environment.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
- Enterprise management experience to include LDAP, Configuration Management Tools, DNS, Repo, Backups, Log management.
- Troubleshooting experience of Enterprise level environments.
- Data Center experience.
- Shell Scripting experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Responsive Service Desk experience.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
Desired Qualifications
- More than two years of formal education is desired.
- Knowledge in Electronic Flight Bags Systems Administrator.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds independently as part of regular job duties.
