Team / division overview
The Product Division is responsible for the whole lifecycle of products and solutions that DWS offers, from the inception of a product strategy through implementation and ongoing management. Key pillars within the Product Division include Product Strategy, Lifecycle & Analytics, Product Specialists & Development and Product Management.
Role Details
As a Product Specialist Analyst Institutional, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the needs of the Product Division in APAC and globally to strategise, develop and launch new investment products and solutions in collaboration with other teams and divisions.
- Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of the global institutional asset management industry, scanning for new and emerging trends, opportunities and pathways for business expansion.
- Develop and run regular reporting for internal and external audiences on institutional trends, flows, financials and regulatory developments.
- Support and develop institutional thought leadership content in partnership with colleagues across divisions.
- Be willing to support ad-hoc regional or global projects with analytical insights, recommendations and project support.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree, in related fields, with a proven academic performance
- Have 2-3 years of relevant experience within asset management, consulting, or related industrie
- Working knowledge of Institutional client (inc. Pensions, Insurance, Sovereign Wealth Funds) requirements, preferably in a global context
- Applied knowledge in pension market trends, product development and regulation
- Experience working with large and complex data sets and platforms including Bloomberg, Morningstar, Broadridge, Prequin and more.
- Experience in diverse product fields including but not limited to product strategy and development, regional strategic development and creation of regular internal reporting
- Basic coding skills are positive, but not essential.
- Prepared to support client engagement and build specialist asset class knowledge
- Personable, collegiate, and able to constructively engage with colleagues and clients across APAC, as well as Europe and the U.S.
- Excellent communication skills in both English & Japanese written and verbal
