Our Team
The Regional Director, North Asia is a high-visibility leadership role within the Equipment Technology and Services (ET&S) business for Koch Engineered Solutions (KES). This role focuses on the John Zink combustion business and the Koch Glitch mass transfer business in the North Asia region. The Director will lead the front end engineered equipment commercial teams and overseeing critical business administration functions. Implementing strategies to create value across the entire portfolio and driving integrated product teams to continuously improve P&L performance. This role is ideal for a candidate who works in mutually beneficial ways to drive results and is comfortable challenging the status quo. The Director will apply to Koch's Principle Based Management (PBM) philosophy to develop a results-oriented team that achieves results through economic thinking, innovation, and collaboration.

What You Will Do
- Lead efforts to maximize revenue growth, profitability, and market share across the region.
- Lead the front end engineered equipment commercial teams for the John Zink combustion business and the Koch Glitch mass transfer business in North Asia.
- Identify new business opportunities and proactively drive industry engagement.
- Challenge traditional business models, accelerating growth through transformational leadership and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Establish a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and proactive execution.
- Inspire team members through visionary leadership, strong mentorship, and active engagement.
- Empower employees to take the initiative, adapt to changing market dynamics, and pursue breakthrough innovations.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

- Demonstrated capability to effectively construct mutually beneficial relationships and structure bids/deals accordingly – assessment of customer needs, intelligence gathering, bid development and strong economic thinking
- Proven leadership capability inclusive of successful change management, talent development and accountability
- Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, managing complex situations, instilling collaboration and motivating others by creating a shared vision.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies

Fluency in English and Native Japanese Level
- Experience with commercial/business leadership and/or business development
- Experience successfully leading a diverse team, working through complex problems to generate superior results
- Experience working in the Engineering and/or Chemicals/Petrochemicals/Energy industry

Experience developing leaders in a Principle Based Management (PBM) environment
