The strategic account manager is responsible for delivering revenue and exceeding sales targets through partner selling activities.Strategic Account Manager Responsibilities
- Define and manage an annual business plan, quarterly business review with key retail accounts
- Communicate business plans to internal/external stakeholders and develop executive relationships with key retail account stakeholders
- Plan all new product launches in collaboration with marketing and business operations, deliver clear and concise communication and plan to partners to identify and develop business opportunities
- Support co-marketing allocation and operate within annual budget
- Review Sell In/Out data to identify new opportunities within existing product ranges
- Negotiate and manage trade funds in partnership with retail marketing to create customer and company value by consistently measuring and enforcing trade terms and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Negotiate, execute and manage commercial strategies and contracts
- Work closely with Operations to implement a CPFR process with retail and distributor partners
- Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets
- Knowledge of the Japan retail market, industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape
- Experience in delivery of sales quotas against business plans
- BA/BS/Master's in Business or Marketing related field (or similar work experience)
- 7+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development
- Negotiation and communication experience with experience in operators, retail & distribution agreements
- Solid internal and external communication skills
- English & Japanese language fluency
- Experience managing retail partners through distribution channels and/or manufacturer representative firms
- Experience working with CE products retailers in Japan: Amazon, Bic Camera, Yodobashi Camera, Yamada Denki and Edion
- Experience in sales and marketing on Amazon (account management, paid search and display advertising)
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, "business-owner" and highly data-driven mindset
