Job Description
As a technology specialist, you will be working closely with our Product and Services teams to understand our offerings, with the Sales team to communicate those offerings to prospective customers, and most importantly with our prospects and customers to help them find solutions to their most ambitious business imperatives.
You will excel in understanding a variety of technical and business process challenges, leading technical discussions with internal and prospective customer teams, and presenting complex solution demonstrations. The position requires a unique blend of business process, listening, technical design, and communication skills.
Key Activities for the Technical Solution Consultant include:
Help articulate cloud visions and SaaS offerings to new and existing clients
Responding in writing to questions and requests for information from analysts and prospects
Identifying new platform requirements and working with Product Management to design solutions for those requirements
Working closely with the Solution Engineering team and the Japan Regional Development team to build new local content and solutions
Partnering with the Guidewire Functional Solution Consultants for application configuration for detailed product demonstrations. (eg: (e.g: digital experiences, integrations to solution partners, workflows and other cloud services).
Support Alliance team during discovery and POC stages of onboarding solution partners for Japan Market.
Leading formal and informal architecture discussions
Supporting the sales team as an expert on the technical and integration aspects of Guidewire solutions throughout the sales cycle:
Mandatory Skills:
Strong verbal and presentation skills
Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS industry trends
Processes and tools in the software development lifecycle (source control, build systems, testing)
Integration mechanisms and patterns
Database systems and concepts
Proficiency in Java and other modern programming languages
Effective and competent writing skills
Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)
Strong English language skills (for internal communication)
Curiosity and passion to learn
Helpful Knowledge and Experience:
Experience with modern P&C insurance systems
Modern JavaScript web toolkits and development
Authentication and Authorization concepts
Kubernetes and related technologies
AWS technical ecosystem
Java enterprise technologies
RESTful architecture and development
Experience in Technical Pre-Sales
