The Accounting Manager is responsible for Handle Accounting/Tax related operations Accounting (primary) , Tax (secondary) and provide guidance and support for the maintenance of SOX compliant accounting process and control and Manage business audits conducted.
This position reports to the Director Finance, Japan and is part of the Finance located in Tokyo and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Financial results preparation (monthly/quarterly/yearly) in full compliance with US GAAP.
- Financial reporting in timely manner with high accuracy such as daily/weekly/monthly sales and cash reporting, various monthly financial package.
- AR/AP, Expense and other business transaction related accounting including outsource agent management.
- Intercompany transactions.
- Work with Senior Accounting Manager and local advisor to ensure preparation of local statutory financial reports and comply with local tax & legal regulations within the required time frames set by government
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Experience of AR and AP (mandatory) and Knowledge of US and Japan GAAP, and 10+ years> experience
- Knowledge and experience with the ERP accounting system (Oracle/SAP) and PC skills especially for Excel and Knowledge and experience of corporate and consumption tax is a plus.
- Ability to Drive for Results and work independently under tight timelines and Ability to challenge the status quo, demonstrate continuous improvement.
- Native Japanese speaker (mandatory) and Reading and writing skills in intermediate level English
