As a Customer Service Representative - Japan, you have the opportunity to be a part of the Global Operations – Supply Chain team to support our North Asia customers.
This support includes end-to-end order management (order entry, checking on shipment, product allocation, and complaint management).
About You
We’re looking to recruit an experienced Customer Service Representative - Japan, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager based in Tokyo.
You will be part of the Supply Chain team, and together, you will partner with your stakeholders to ensure customer service excellence.
This is a varied role for a person who has a strong grounding in order management, excellent customer service, with strong communication skills.

What You’ll Be Doing
Execute the daily operations of export order fulfilment: order entry and delivery follow-up.
Accurate and timely order entry
Confirm timely delivery of orders
Effective follow-up and closure on customer inquiries and issues
Build strong relationships with customers to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction with professional-level communication
Be a customer advocate within T&L and proactively monitor the status of orders to prevent late deliveries
Maintains information required for the guidance of the business
Interface with Logistics to deliver orders in an efficient and cost-effective way
Take ownership of orders from entry to delivery
Effectively communicate customer requirements to other T&L functions and build good working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations
Provide backup support for other customer service representatives during leave
Location
This role is assigned to our Tokyo office located at Shinbashi.
What You’ll have
Diploma / Degree in any discipline
Minimum 5 years’ experience in order management function within the food ingredients/food related, chemical industry
Familiar with import & export logistics processes
Good command of read and written English and native Japanese
Excellent SAP experience
Ability to work as a team, to work effectively across functional lines without formal authority, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to make consequential decision.
Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Customer service oriented and ability to work independently
Able to commence work within short notice is a big plus
