What You Will Do
- Lead all external communications in Japan, including crisis management and proactive media relations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media, agencies, and internal stakeholders
- Manage press announcements, create positive stories around Rocket Now, and increase media coverage
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as HR, Legal, Ops, and Recruiting
- Set up and maintain internal communication frameworks to ensure alignment across teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for communication needs during crises
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in high-stakes communications, PR, or media relations in Japan.
- Strong crisis management and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
- Able to operate independently and get things done under pressure
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.

- People management experience
