Overview:
The PR & Social Media Specialist will play a dual role in supporting the hotel's brand communication strategy. This position combines two key areas of responsibility: Public Relations, working closely with the Hotel PR Manager on media and event coordination, and social media, managing the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo Instagram account and contributing to the global Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts presence, The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for luxury hospitality, an understanding of media dynamics and digital storytelling, and a proven ability to create engaging content and manage public relations activities.
This position requires to work fully onsite. This position also requires to work on weekends, national holidays, early morning or late night depending on the job role of hotel operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations (PR):
• Assist the Hotel PR Manager in day-to-day operations, including media list coordination, press material preparation, and event logistics.
• Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns and media/influencer events.
• Manage internal documentation, scheduling, and reporting with accuracy and discretion.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to provide insights for strategic PR planning.
• Liaise with the global Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts communication team to ensure message alignment, reporting, and brand consistency.
Social Media Management:
• Strategically manage the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo Instagram account in accordance with the corporate social media
framework, while designing and implementing a refined local strategy that embodies the brand’s global identity.
• Plan and execute photo and video shoots to produce visually compelling content aligned with brand aesthetics.
• Develop and curate high-quality content (photos, videos, Stories, Reels) for use across digital platforms.
• Write effective captions in both English and Japanese, adhering to the latest guidelines.
• Creating a content calendar and ensure timely, consistent posting.
• Monitor performance analytics and generate regular reports to inform strategic improvements.
• Engage actively with followers, respond to messages and comments, and cultivate community interaction.
• Collaborate with departments such as Rooms, F&B, and Spa to source content.
• Support influencer and brand ambassador engagement in line with brand positioning.
• Coordinate with external vendors (e.g. photographers, designers, agencies) for smooth execution of campaigns.
• Manage advertising budgets and track ROI on paid social initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in marketing, communication or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PR and/or social media for a luxury brand or hospitality company.
- Proficiency in image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Exceptional copywriting skills tailored to social media storytelling.
- Strong understanding of Instagram analytics tools.
- Fluency in English and Japanese.
