Job Description
Review and monitor the local digital and traditional media landscape in Japan and make recommendations as to strategic directions for the company’s aim.
Project coordination of updates to the company’s internet to include enhancing the local platform with digital content from the company’s events and other related activities e.g. create microsites relevant to key events etc.
Identify and create media content to develop the company’s LinkedIn platform by originating local content and localising regional/global content as needed.
Identify and establish new social media platforms to extend the company’s digital marketing activities including but not limited to YouTube, Instagram, Glassdoor, Spotify etc.
Design event related materials and associated collaterals e.g. create digital announcement cards, invitations, event materials (presentations, background imagery etc.), feedback collection etc.
Review and update regional/global publications and ensure their successful localisation for Japan market in both digital and traditional format.
Assist in the execution of events and related marketing activities as required.
Assist in the localisation of regional/global press releases and/or creation of local press releases as appropriate.
Collaborate with the company’s PR and media agency on relevant initiatives.
Support department head and deputy on various ancillary duties including but not limited to executive management support, coordination of overseas visitors to the Japan office (internal and external).
Requirements
Five years’ work experience in a marketing and/or PR company with proven expertise in digital content creation and platform management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
Expertise in applications that support content creation and management (e.g. Canva, Adobe etc.) in addition to standard MS Office applications etc.
Project management, multi-tasking and time-management skills coupled with the ability to prioritise tasks.
Experience in the financial services industry is desirable but not essential.
