Department Overview
Since its establishment in 1997, Rakuten Ichiba has been a leading force in the e-commerce industry as one of the largest online marketplaces in Japan, driven by its mission to "empower people and society through innovation."
The Rakuten Ichiba Marketing Department utilizes various shopping campaigns and digital advertising strategies to conduct marketing activities that enable more consumers to enjoy convenient and fun shopping experiences at great value.
The Customer Marketing Division consists of four groups and is responsible for all aspects of expanding and growing the customer base, from strategies for acquiring new customers to loyalty and ecosystem strategies.
The Ecosystem Marketing Group is responsible for fostering customer growth by leveraging the Rakuten Ecosystem. It handles the entire process, from strategy and planning to execution, of mutual customer acquisition between Rakuten Ichiba and other Rakuten services such as Rakuten Mobile and Rakuten Card.
*Mutual customer acquisition refers to promoting the use of Rakuten Ichiba among users of other Rakuten services, and promoting the use of other Rakuten services among Rakuten Ichiba users.

Position Details
Main areas of activity
Formulating and executing mutual customer acquisition strategies/tactics with over 70 businesses and group services.
*Specific initiatives include:
- Creating value through mutual usage of other services (e.g., the "5 and 0 Day" campaign for Rakuten Card users).
- Promoting Rakuten Ichiba usage by leveraging the channel characteristics of other services (e.g., Rakuten Ichiba promotions through the Rakuten Mobile Link App).
- Promoting the usage of other services by leveraging the customer base of other services (e.g., Rakuten Bank promotions targeting "5 and 0 Day" users).
- Service management, operation, and improvement of "SPU (Super Point Up Program)" as a mutual customer acquisition platform.
Workflow
1. Initial Stage: Combining vast amounts of Rakuten Ichiba purchase data/customer data with the usage data of other services to derive marketing challenges and strategic hypotheses
2. Planning Stage: Refining new ideas that no one has ever done before, and major improvements to core initiatives, through repeated discussions with stakeholders and decision-makers
3. Implementation Stage: Obtaining planning approval and budget approval, securing organization and development resources, and moving the project forward according to the schedule
Regardless of the size of the project, we expect you to refine your skills through this series of steps for any project you are assigned.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
1. Project management experience (regardless of size or domain)
2. Customer marketing experience at a business company, advertising agency, consulting firm, or similar organization

- Data analysis and statistical skills
- Experience in planning-related tasks
- KPI/budget management experience
- Organizational management experience
