Department Overview
Facilities Management Department at Rakuten Group provides an environment where employees can maintain high productivity and maximize their performance. Going beyond simple office management, we are responsible for strategic office development and CRE (Corporate Real Estate) management that contributes to employee engagement and productivity improvement, powerfully supporting the overall business growth of the Rakuten Group. As a group headquarters function, we create guidelines for office selection and design for domestic and international group companies, realizing a globally unified Rakuten-style work environment. Furthermore, we are responsible for office planning, selection, and construction in line with business expansion, managing projects related to offices and real estate.
Global Facilities Planning Group supports Rakuten Group's business expansion from facilities and real estate perspective, aiming to maximize employee productivity and engagement through real estate strategy. We are responsible for the entire process, from selecting the optimal location and properties for domestic and international offices and facilities to concluding lease agreements. This is a highly rewarding role that supports the overall business development of the Rakuten Group through facilities.
In this position, you will have proximity to management and opportunities to make direct proposals, allowing you to experience the business decision-making process firsthand. There are also abundant opportunities to thrive on a global stage. In overseas real estate transactions, you will have the chance to negotiate directly with local real estate companies in English, leveraging your language and negotiation skills. Furthermore, you can cultivate a global perspective and deepen your understanding of different cultures through collaboration with representatives from overseas subsidiaries.

- Formulating office strategies to support business growth.
- Real estate research, property selection, and contract negotiation, focusing on office spaces.
- Planning and proposing initiatives to optimize office space and resources, improve the working environment.
- Contract management and facility management support for domestic and international group companies.
- Project management for office construction.
Planning and implementing governance enhancements related to real estate and facilities for domestic and international group companies.

Mandatory Qualifications:
- TOEIC score of 800 or above, or equivalent English proficiency
- Work experience in general affairs and facility management
- Experience in overseeing and managing multiple external vendors
- Proficiency in PC skills, including creating spreadsheets, data analysis, and preparing presentation materials (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial real estate contract management
- Project management and construction management experience related to office build-outs
- Experience in managing and operating welfare facilities
- Business-level English proficiency (both spoken and written)
- Proficiency in PC skills, including AutoCAD and various browser-based tools
