Customer Success Services Security Executive Director
Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) is building a security center of excellence function with the goal of providing building and executing a Customer Success Security function. The main objective to help drive the global CSS objective of delivering the best cloud experience and outcomes for our customers. Security is a main topic of customers related to cloud services and is also an integral part of the global Customer Success strategy.
As a Security Executive Director of this team, you will be responsible for directly interfacing with customer and partner executives to discuss security strategies, priorities, organization and program structure, while providing strategic advice and guidance to our customers and partners. You will also provide significant knowledge transfer and education to customer and partner executives and security and IT leadership. Additionally, you will be directly responsible, along with the SVP & CISO of CSS Security, for building and executing key components of the CSS Security business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Direct interface and collaboration with customer and partner executive and senior leadership; accountable for a specific number of customer interface activities over a specified time period
- Direct interface and collaboration with various xLoB security service organizations and partner security organizations to help design and implement new initiatives for CSS
- Coordinating and providing strategic advice to customers and partners in relation to security of the overall Oracle technology products and services across all portfolios, including services
- Provide guidance to customers and partners on security best practices related to the Oracle business and technology environments
- Engages the community of customers, partners, industry leaders and standards bodies to identify areas of collaboration and content development
- Participate in CSS Security senior leadership planning, strategy and execution activities
- Develop key deliverables focused on objectives related to executive education and awareness, while driving cloud adoption and generating security service opportunities
- Participation in customer outreach events (workshops, conferences, industry events, etc), providing presentations, education and knowledge transfer (both virtual and in-person) and in collaboration with marketing and sales
- Collaborates with product, service and delivery teams to develop best practices, playbooks and other deliverables to be used by customers and partners
- Provides input and feedback to influence security product roadmaps, based off of individual’s work experience, past and present, from customer and partners
- Evangelize security and application solutions and controls through customer and partner executive interface
- Provide sales support, as needed, for all aspects of sales teams at Oracle
- Stay current on industry trends, Oracle product and service capabilities, partner capabilities and other cloud providers capabilities
Challenges and opportunities are plentiful in this role as you apply your knowledge in helping to develop and secure new offerings using OCI features and capabilities.
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience relevant to functional area with 10+ years of related experience.
- Significant experience providing professional and support services to customer and partners
- CISO or security leadership is strongly desirable (in place of actual CISO experience, will consider significant experience interfacing with customers at that level)
- Strong communication and presentation experience communicating with and presenting to executive and senior leadership
- Strong knowledge and background related the Oracle security products and services is required, and comprehensive knowledge of other Oracle products and services is a desirable
- Leadership & Soft Skill Qualifications
- Prior experience solving complex business problems with technology, including aspects unique to securing the cloud (provider / consumer/partner perspective).
- Strong interpersonal and consulting skills to establish and maintain internal and external partnerships globally.
- Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
- Outstanding proactive communication skills: written, verbal, presentations.
- Self-driven, analytical, and results oriented with proven sound judgment.
- Positive influence to lead through frequent ambiguity / uncertainty / change.
- Business savvy including the ability to see and convey the big picture.
- Other Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry security concepts / frameworks and regulatory standards such as ISO-27001, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, FedRAMP and other international standards/regs is preferred.
- CISM, CISSP, CCSK, GIAC or other security certifications and education are preferred
- Experience in cloud native technologies a must.
- Background in automation tools.
- Previous Oracle cloud platform experience preferred SaaS and OCI (Oracle Gen2 Cloud)
- Previous AWS, GCP, Azure experience preferred
